While in the process of homeschooling Jackie in Long Beach, a close friend
of ours, living in Palos Verdes, was taking a turn for the worse with the
end stages of Cystic Fibrosis and needed to have someone with her while
her husband was at work. At this juncture, I placed Jackie back into school
for a short time frame, enrolling her at The Pine's Christian School at the
end of September in Lomita.
